This Refilled HP 78 Tri-Colour Ink Cartridge is quoted as doing up to 900 pages before needing to be replaced.
The page yield is calculated by manufacturers using ISO/IEC 24711 standards, where they print set documents of 5% page coverage until the cartridge is empty. The standard means you can compare yields between cartridges and manufacturers.
This product is filled to maximum capacity and contains 36ml of high quality ink that has been manufactured to provide print quality as good as the HP originals but at a much lower price.

Running CostThis value is calculated from manufacturer's estimates of how many pages a cartridge will print, and should only be used to compare cartridge running costs. Page yields are estimated using the ISO standard of 5% coverage on a plain A4 page, which is roughly the length of a short letter. |

The original version of this cartridge has unfortunately been discontinued by the manufacturer, and is no longer available.
Cartridge works very well indeed after a clean. Very pleased with my print quality.
The HP 78 Cartridge is okay in that it works, but each of the 3 colours is streaky and so a colour image prints out with a horizontal line effect. Not great.
Really sorry you've had an issue with printer quality. We've popped an email to you with some quick troubleshooting that should get you sorted, but if it doesn't we'll get a replacement arranged for you. Sorry again!

Quality good. Printed first time and perfectly. My printer is an HP 906C The only printer I have owned but it is still going strong. I ordered the Tri-Colour Cartridge HP 78 and I am delighted. I am now able to continue using my printer again. A refill cartridge that actually works and print well. I have already told several friends about my delight at finding Stinkyink.co.uk .
Happily this one worked fine. Very unusual for a refill not to work however the previous two failed! first time because the printer decided it was a fake, and second time the ink wouldn't come out evenly. Never had anything like that consecutively.
StinkyInk were marvellous. A new cartridge arrived in the post next day, no hassle, the only request they made was to return the bad ones FREEPOST. True therefore to their word and why I buy from StinkyInk and not any other supplier.
Working well at the moment so dead chuffed.
Use our 'Check this ink fits your printer' box at the top of this page to confirm this cartridge is suitable for your printer model. In most cases the model number is written on the front of your printer.
Note: These cartridges will only work in printers purchased in the UK and Europe. Printers purchased outside of these zones will have different coding and electronics.
We don't advise on the number of millilitres, as not every cartridge prints using the same droplet size, so two cartridges for two different printers may both have 5ml of ink, but one will print more than the other. Instead, more accurately, the industry standard is based on printing 5% of an A4 page.
This is known as page yield. The number of pages you'll be able to print depends on the cartridge you purchase and the kind of printing you do. The page yields shown higher up the page are based on printing 5% of the area on an A4 page.

No, you aren't able to use other cartridges alongside your HP Instant ink ones. Cartridges in the Instant Ink program have different coding, so whilst enrolled, you are locked into their service and must use their cartridges. Read our blog to learn more about HP Instant Ink.
These are refilled HP cartridges which means they have been used once previously before being reconditioned and refilled with ink, making them a more environmentally friendly option that still provides the print quality you need.
As these are reconditioned HP cartridges, there is a small chance that ink levels will show the last level status. This does not affect the functioning of the cartridge, but should you have any queries, do not hesitate to contact us, or look at our Ink Reader Level Guide, should you need help.
Yes, these cartridges are just as easy to install as the originals. Make sure the required clips have been taken off, along with the clear (usually blue) tape that covers the metal panel on the underneath of the cartridge, and then slot the cartridge into your printer. Do NOT remove the brown tape that is connected to the contact chip.
It's best to keep a spare, so you'll save money when buying 2 of any item.
These inks can be stored for 1 year without affecting performance + are covered by our money back guarantee to give you full peace of mind.
