This Remanufactured HP 970XL Black Ink Cartridge is quoted as doing up to 9200 pages before needing to be replaced.
The page yield is calculated by manufacturers using ISO/IEC 24711 standards, where they print set documents of 5% page coverage until the cartridge is empty. The standard means you can compare yields between cartridges and manufacturers.
The remanufactured HP 970XL black cartridge is filled with a pigment ink, the same kind as the genuine HP cartridges, which is made so it prints in tiny droplets to ensure prints can be made sharp and clear. This makes this a great ink to use for printing your documents. The remanufactured 970XL Black ink can be replaced quickly and easily just like the original HP ink cartridge. Simply push on the cartridge in the printer to click it out of place and slide it out of the machine. Then take any packaging off the new cartridge, slide it in to the slot and push it in until it clicks to lock it into place. You can use this remanufactured 970xl black ink cartridge alongside any other remanufactured or original ink cartridges, they all work hand in hand together, and mixing and matching the inks won't cause you any issues at all.

Running CostThis value is calculated from manufacturer's estimates of how many pages a cartridge will print, and should only be used to compare cartridge running costs. Page yields are estimated using the ISO standard of 5% coverage on a plain A4 page, which is roughly the length of a short letter. |

The website is an absolute doddle to use and my order arrived very fast. It is so good to be able to get a compatible that really works and saves me a significant amount of money. These cartridges are about as simple to use as it is possible to find. Stinky Inks are always ready to answer questions and find solutions if you have any issues.
Use our 'Check this ink fits your printer' box at the top of this page to confirm this cartridge is suitable for your printer model. In most cases the model number is written on the front of your printer.
Note: These cartridges will only work in printers purchased in the UK and Europe. Printers purchased outside of these zones will have different coding and electronics.
We don't advise on the number of millilitres, as not every cartridge prints using the same droplet size, so two cartridges for two different printers may both have 5ml of ink, but one will print more than the other. Instead, more accurately, the industry standard is based on printing 5% of an A4 page.
This is known as page yield. The number of pages you'll be able to print depends on the cartridge you purchase and the kind of printing you do. The page yields shown higher up the page are based on printing 5% of the area on an A4 page.

No, you aren't able to use other cartridges alongside your HP Instant ink ones. Cartridges in the Instant Ink program have different coding, so whilst enrolled, you are locked into their service and must use their cartridges. Read our blog to learn more about HP Instant Ink.
These are refilled HP cartridges which means they have been used once previously before being reconditioned and refilled with ink, making them a more environmentally friendly option that still provides the print quality you need.
As these are reconditioned HP cartridges, there is a small chance that ink levels will show the last level status. This does not affect the functioning of the cartridge, but should you have any queries, do not hesitate to contact us, or look at our Ink Reader Level Guide, should you need help.
Yes, these cartridges are just as easy to install as the originals. Make sure the required clips have been taken off, along with the clear (usually blue) tape that covers the metal panel on the underneath of the cartridge, and then slot the cartridge into your printer. Do NOT remove the brown tape that is connected to the contact chip.
It's best to keep a spare, so you'll save money when buying 2 of any item.
