This Compatible High Capacity Dell 2K1VC Yellow Toner Cartridge is quoted as doing up to 4000 pages before needing to be replaced.
The page yield is calculated by manufacturers using ISO/IEC 24711 standards, where they print set documents of 5% page coverage until the cartridge is empty. The standard means you can compare yields between cartridges and manufacturers.
Product description
The compatible 2K1VC yellow toner can be used together with other compatible and original toners as well as toners with different yields. So for example if your use more black toner you could insert a high yield black along with the colours in a regular yield. The toners can be changed quickly and easily with Dells slide in and out installation. Simply slide the old one out and then slide the new one in, clicking it into place. Your Dell colour laser printer also has a drum unit, this is the part in the print which prints the toner powder into your design, which will need to be replaced from time to time. The unit can produce up to 55,000 pages so you won't need to replace it as often as your toners but when the printer tells you it needs replacing you will need to do so to keep everything running smoothly.

After reporting this problem to Stinkyink by e-mail after 6pm on a Saturday, a replacement cartridge was dispatched on the Monday after and arrived early on the Tuesday morning. We were up and running again a few minutes later and all seems well a week later. At various intervals prior to installing the faulty yellow cartridge I had installed black, cyan and magenta Compatible High Capacity Dell 2K1VC Toner Cartridges without any problems arising, so, fingers crossed, the yellow one was just bad luck! We'll see, but if faulty ones can be replaced this quickly, the risk is not too great.
