This High Capacity HP 920XL Black Ink Cartridge is quoted as doing up to 1200 pages before needing to be replaced.
The page yield is calculated by manufacturers using ISO/IEC 24711 standards, where they print set documents of 5% page coverage until the cartridge is empty. The standard means you can compare yields between cartridges and manufacturers.
This cartridge can provide a page yield of up to 1,200 pages with a capacity of 49ml, helping you save huge amounts of money.
HP 920XL Black Ink Cartridges print professional colour documents for less than lasers using HP Officejet inks.
Original HP inks are specially formulated to produce fast drying documents especially when you use papers with the ColorLok logo.

Running CostThis value is calculated from manufacturer's estimates of how many pages a cartridge will print, and should only be used to compare cartridge running costs. Page yields are estimated using the ISO standard of 5% coverage on a plain A4 page, which is roughly the length of a short letter. |

Once again a very fast service - easy to order with confidence knowing that if on a rare occasion something went wrong , I know it will be rectified immediately, no questions asked.
As always very efficient and quick also competitive prices. Thank you
I was very disappointed to find that the new cartridge which I put in tonight appears to have no ink even though the 'ink monitor' on my HP says that it is full and it came out of a fresh package.
AS this was the last black cartridge I had, this has really left me in a pickle as I had some urgent information to send out tonight and, whilst I could set the letter to colour, there was nothing I could do with the photo copies which needed to accompany it.
I am putting in an urgent order right now and hope you can expedite it.
Kind regards,
Chris Wood
Hi Chris,
I'm really sorry you had a problem with this cartridge and that it delayed the printing you had to do.
As the cartridge reads as full what is it that makes you think the ink is low? Is it printing poorly? If so you should be able to resolve the issue by running some print head clean cycles, you can normally find this option using the buttons on the front of your printer or by using your computer. It's normally under maintenance/settings. Try a few of those, if that doesn't solve the issue please let us know.
Thanks, Beth
Answered by Beth Owen (staff member) - April 16, 2014 08:47I use a HP Officejet 6500. High Capicity HP 920XL that gives a good quality printed page and i have used this printer for about 5 years. The installation is easy and simple to use even for a Senior Surfer. The ordering service and delivery is second to none. I would recommend Stinkyink for service and quality.
Use our 'Check this ink fits your printer' box at the top of this page to confirm this cartridge is suitable for your printer model. In most cases the model number is written on the front of your printer.
Note: These cartridges will only work in printers purchased in the UK and Europe. Printers purchased outside of these zones will have different coding and electronics.
We don't advise on the number of millilitres, as not every cartridge prints using the same droplet size, so two cartridges for two different printers may both have 5ml of ink, but one will print more than the other. Instead, more accurately, the industry standard is based on printing 5% of an A4 page.
This is known as page yield. The number of pages you'll be able to print depends on the cartridge you purchase and the kind of printing you do. The page yields shown higher up the page are based on printing 5% of the area on an A4 page.

No, you aren't able to use other cartridges alongside your HP Instant ink ones. Cartridges in the Instant Ink program have different coding, so whilst enrolled, you are locked into their service and must use their cartridges. Read our blog to learn more about HP Instant Ink.
If you choose a high-capacity (XL) version of this cartridge it will still fit in your printer. The size of the cartridge is the same, but they are just filled up more to provide you with extra prints, often at a substantially lower cost per page printed.
There are a number of factors that affect the price of original (OEM) ink cartridges. This cartridge is made by HP themselves so they have ultimate control over the cost Stinkyink pay to stock them. Recent increases in the costs of raw materials and shipping for example have put more pressure prices. However, at Stinkyink we work constantly to keep prices low and offer a price-match guarantee on all original ink products.
Of course, in most cases you have the option save money with a Stinkyink compatible ink, which come with a 12-month money back guarantee. See the product comparison table further up this page for your options.
It's best to keep a spare, so you'll save money when buying 2 of any item.
These inks can be stored for 1 year without affecting performance + are covered by our money back guarantee to give you full peace of mind.
