I have NEVER had a BAD Compatible Cannon ink cartridge from Stinkyink . To the best of my knowledge they perform just like the Cannon equivalent on my very old iP4600 printer, that is to say there is no mess, no fuss the cartridge replacement as it just drops straight in. Also my iP4600 was upgraded a year ago to do double sided printing and the ink drying time between between pages (set by the printer) gives the same perfect print quality. Highlly recommended.
I have a CYAN cartridge C-526 from my recent order number
ST852716784 unfortunately when I inserted this items into my
Canon 6150 printer it does not register (therefore it has not been used at all). Can I return this item to you for replacement or should I wait for my next order.
Sorry the cyan isn't being recognised.
With the cartridge not being recognised sometimes the contact chip on the cartridge needs a clean.
If you give the contact chip a rub with a pencil eraser or a dry lint-free cloth and then switch the printer off at the mains for 2-3 minutes and reinstall the cartridge this will clear any errors from the printer's memory.
If you are still having issues please let us know and we can arrange a replacement for you.
Answered by Beth Owen (staff member) - August 15, 2019 08:57No problem with the delivery.
BUT I've just put in new Magenta and the big Black one, but the printer is still saying they are not OK. Both the relents I put in were probably nearly a year old - do they go "off"?
Good morning Rosemary,

One of our team will be in touch this morning to help with troubleshooting and get the issue resolved for you.
I'm sorry for any trouble caused.
All fine: ink and speed of delivery. Thank you.
I have been using these compatible cartridges for my Canon MP560 now for a number of years obtained from Stinkyink and they have been excellent
Stinky Ink continues its excellent customer service. The latest order was delivered promptly and the compatible cartridge works just fine in my Canon printer.
Highly recommended.
Use our 'Check this ink fits your printer' box at the top of this page to confirm this cartridge is suitable for your printer model. In most cases the model number is written on the front of your printer.
Note: These cartridges will only work in printers purchased in the UK and Europe. Printers purchased outside of these zones will have different coding and electronics.
We don't advise on the number of millilitres, as not every cartridge prints using the same droplet size, so two cartridges for two different printers may both have 5ml of ink, but one will print more than the other. Instead, more accurately, the industry standard is based on printing 5% of an A4 page.
This is known as page yield. The number of pages you'll be able to print depends on the cartridge you purchase and the kind of printing you do. The page yields shown higher up the page are based on printing 5% of the area on an A4 page.

Providing you haven't had a recent firmware update (see question below), you shouldn't have a problem. The chips on our cartridges are updated regularly to avoid firmware interference, but in the unlikely event your printer did reject the cartridges, you are covered by our 12-month guarantee.
Firmware updates are updates put through your printer by the printer manufacturers (e.g. HP, Epson, Canon etc.). The update can contain code that stops any third-party cartridges from working, so that you can only use original brand cartridges. In most cases you cannot undo this update, but you can switch updates off to prevent it.
Yes, these cartridges are designed to work no differently from originals, so all the same functions should be available.
Third-party cartridges must be designed to differ slightly from the originals, to fit in with legal copyright requirements. However, the cartridges are still made to fit in your printer and are tested rigorously to ensure compatibility with your printer. We use a small number of trusted suppliers and while the look of the cartridges can vary slightly from each one, they will fit your printer.
It's best to keep a spare, so you'll save money when buying 2 of any item.
These inks can be stored for 1 year without affecting performance + are covered by our money back guarantee to give you full peace of mind.
