This Brother DR2300 Drum Unit is quoted as doing up to 12000 pages before needing to be replaced.
The page yield is calculated by manufacturers using ISO/IEC 24711 standards, where they print set documents of 5% page coverage until the cartridge is empty. The standard means you can compare yields between cartridges and manufacturers.
Product description
The drum can be easily changed without taking up lots of your time. Simply open the front cover of the printer and remove the drum using the handle on the front. Press on the green/blue clip on the side of the drum to release the toner from the drum and then lift it out. You can then place this toner inside the new drum or a new toner if need be. Press on the blue/green clip again to clip the toner into the new drum. Then slot the new drum back into the printer and you're ready to go again. You can use this original drum along with any other original or compatible DR2300 toner.
