I've used many different printers when running my business', always searching for that perfect one that is cheap to run, quiet, fast and most importantly... affordable. There have been big ones, ones that took two of us to list (looking at you Epson C900, my first ever colour laser). Then HP released their PageWide printhead technology and everything changed. Suddenly, ink printers for the office was a thing, and boy are they good.
Enter the HP PageWide Pro 452dw, kindly named 'The Stormtrooper' by the Stinkyink Tech Team. A white-with-black-trim, the Pro 452dw is an attractive machine that achieves that elusive nirvana of fast (we're averaging 56 pages per minute), quiet, efficient and cheap to run. Even the functionality is great, the auto-duplexer is a dream. Any paperwork you receive from Stinkyink goes through this printer and the output is just fabulous. I can't recommend it enough for an office environment, though you wouldn't want it in your lounge. Horses for courses and what not.
The HP Pro 452dw ink cartridges look, at first glance, to be expensive, but they do a huge number of pages for an inkjet printer. You're looking at around a penny per page for black printing, excellent value and more than sustainable in the long run.
