It is common to see yellow toner on the rollers of toner cartridges, even if it is a different colour cartridge (black, cyan, magenta etc). It is completely normal and nothing to worry about!
Why is the yellow powder there?
This yellow coating is part of the manufacturing process and is common in many toner cartridges. This powder acts as a lubricant to internal parts of the cartridge, essentially aiding your performance and print quality.
Should I be worried I can see yellow powder on my cartridge?
Not at all. It's perfectly normal and is part of the manufacturing process.
How long does the yellow toner last?
This yellow (or white in some cases) toner will disappear after a few pages, and can often disappear straight away during the short calibration your printer runs when you install the cartridge.
